| John Vasiliou was born on May 21st, 1974 to Angelo and Marion. He began writing for Dark Night Films when Matt was looking for writers to take over the writing choirs from E.H. Jenkins on Then The Night Comes. John, motivated by the fact that his writing would be seen on film, was the first to step forward. Matt liked what he saw and asked him to pen the screenplays Silent Vengeance, the final draft of Domination: Evil On Queen Street 2, a segment called 'Forgive Me Father' in Evil Deeds. He was so motivated after writing these screenplays for Matt, that he submitted his first original work with the first meeting of Dark Night Films' icons The Demon and Chameleon Killer, but after the final draft of Silent Vengeance was completed he scrapped that idea all together. Recently he was asked to write the script for Matt's upcoming film Killseeker (which is loosely based on the 1982 Chuck Norris film Silent Rage and is a remake of one of Matt's earliest short films). He accepted the job, completed the script, and submitted it to Matt in record time. It is one of his best scripts to date. He also has his own original screenplay in the works (this one has nothing to do with any of Matt's previous films) currently know as Anti-Hero. When Evil Deeds was initially released, John voiced the cops in the various scenes of the wrap around story of The Hermit (unfortunately this was cut from the Recut version). But when Dark World: Duel Of The Assassins was re-released as a Lighthouse Pictures film, John was givin the part of the opening narrator. After writing the script for StoryLine, John got to at last get an onscreen part in a Dark Night Films/Lighthouse Pictures film, playing the part of Damien Cruz's protege John on a computer screen. Now with Silent Vengeance underway, John will finally have an opportunity to play a part on location, as he will play one of Sheriff Garris' three officers named... John. |
