| Bailee Arnett has been a impact player on the online scene for quite some time. She formed her own company known as ARP Direct and specializes in erotic Sci-Fi and Horror. Long time fan of Dark Night Films (and now current writer) Robert Gordon was the person who introduced Bailee to Matt Spease's work. He bought a special copy of The Stooges - Episode V: Die, Stooges, Die to show to her. She thought it was a bit cheesy, but she liked the overall effects and presentation. Soon Matt and Bailee were both in contact with each other. Her first work with Dark Night Films was in 2003 with the directing of the Nicole (Kasey Adoir) scenes in Dark World: Duel Of The Assassins. That sequence ended up being one of Matt's favorites from the film. He wanted to actually be able to get Bailee in front of the camera for that film to play Princess Arianne, but due to a family emergency she was unable to do it. Their next work together was again in 2003 on Chameleon Killer, Bailee shot the Psycho sequence. This shoot went through a majority of her girls at ARP at time before it finally landed in the hands of Shania. Matt planned to make the shot in Black & White for the old Psycho style look, but Bailee's great gore effects in the scene made him change his mind. After Chameleon Killer, in early 2004 Matt was given a script for a segment in the horror anthology Evil Deeds... written by Robert Gordon. He saw that this segment would be a perfect spot for Bailee to show her stuff. He offered it to her and she accepted. She hired Annalisa English and James Spade to play Miranda Jones and The Vampire. The role of Bobbi Blake seemed to be the toughest to cast though. Originally written as a blond actress, after going though the trouble of having a couple of no shows, Matt suggested that she just get the best actress she could to fill the role. She ended up casting Natalie Fortensky and the rest is history. |
